Anybody know a good way to hang onto amiibo save slots? Wouldn't mind using some of my smash amiibo's for other games, but really don't want to do the training all over again. Been looking for apps or something that I could store the saves onto until I wanted to use them again, and be able to switch out an amiibo's smash data and Mario Tennis for example.

I looked around a little bit, and there are a couple of tools in the market for this, they all cost anywhere form 35+, and the cheapest I found is an Action Replay product. So if you go with something like that you should avoid using the cheats it offers and just use it's back-up feature.

Ouch. Wouldn't mind spending a couple dollars if I have to, but $35 is a bit much. :( Yeah, I was having issues finding something as well when I was digging around, was hoping somebody had found something that I'd missed.

Sorry about that, I just thought about the idea of a mobile app, since phones tend to have nfc, but none of them actually back up the amiibo's data, so maybe one day someone out there will make that feature.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of to begin with, but all the ones I was seeing had to do with checking out the tags. Which isn't all that helpful in this case.

You could try amiiqo.

It's an external gadget that uses an Andriod device to manage everything. If you have an Android try it out.

Amiiqo is usually the first to come up when searching on the topic, sorry bud, good recommendation but that's already been shut down since Mr. AdvanceStrat has already said those prices are a bit much.

Ah.

I have heard of people dumping amiibo saves with homebrew, though they haven't released the tool yet.

This sounds less like backing data up and more ending up with corupt data... The cheapest option from what I heard is just buying another Amiibo...

that's cheaper until you reach more than a couple amiibo you want two saves of.

Yeah... Nintendo will come out with something I mean they do have Skylander/Amiibos so 2 save files is just a drop in the bucket.

Do you even know how these things work?

Someone dumped the data from the amiibo. Complete and non-corrupt.

Sorry Mr Homebrew Enthusiast, PARDON me if I don't want to dump my 15$ amiibo onto a foreign, non-nintendo program!

Are you ok man? I was just correcting you. I didn't force you to use homebrew or not. I see where I could have been rude and I'm sorry about that but geez man. Don't have to act so rude :meh: I was just trying to help the OP... I'm just pointing out the cheapest option, which is dumping the saves with homebrew. And that's true. He never really said he didn't or did want a homebrew method.

Maybe Nintendo will make an amiibo save thing, like the Save Backup Tool (I used to use that a lot because I needed to delete software). Would be cool.

Found the amiiqo app, looks like I could dump too the app, but don't see a way to organize the saves, or send back to the amiibo with it. Kind of a shame, looks like it'd have been exactly what I was looking for otherwise.

I think you'll need the peripheral to actually manage them...

The best way is just to buy another amiibo with a slight change like the 30th anniversary Mario.
