Android 10 is just that.. Android 10. No more sweets :(

No more pie, no more lollipops and no more marshmallows.

Google has decided to drop the sugary names from their mobile operating system:

We heard feedback over the years from users that the names weren’t always intuitively understandable by everyone in the global community.

Kaori Miyake is the communications manager for Android at Google.

I don't really like the idea but it's not really that much of an inconvenience because I rarely say the OS names these days. I wish they'd be a bit more creative with the names tho instead of having it as the boring Android 10.

I didn't even know that they still used the weird sweet names, to be honest. Really doesn't make any difference, but putting a number there instead of some cotton candy does make it easier for scrubs to know what the latest version is or whatever.

I didn’t even know that they had sugary names in the past, because I’m an uncultured swine who doesn’t know useful information. But I agree that Android 10 is a pretty lame name.
