AC:NL Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Digital Version) Save Did Not Transfer Between 3DS Systems

I received a New Nintendo 3DS XL system for my birthday a few months ago and I had to perform a system transfer to get my data from my original 3DS XL (the older model) to my New 3DS XL. I successfully did so (or for the most part) so I began to purchase and download games with some eShop money that I also got for my birthday. The next day I turned on my 3ds and started up Animal Crossing: New Leaf only to find that my town save data was not carried over during the transfer. I thought my data had just corrupted but later found out that digital ACNL copies' save data DOES NOT transfer to other systems (unless you use an easy exploit which I only recently found out about, so it's too late for that). I really wish someone warned me about this then I wouldn't be in the situation that I'm in now. I know, I should've made sure all my data was there and looked up the problem and all that, but I didn't.

That was a few months ago and I'm only now bothering to ask for help on this issue and I hope it's not too late. I still have my old 16 GB micro SD card from my original 3DS XL (I had a Micro SD to SD card adapter that I used for it) and it still has all of my old data on it. I also have my original 3DS XL system too. I want to know if there's any possible way I could get my old Animal Crossing data from my old 16 GB SD card onto my New 3DS XL's 32 GB Micro SD card. Also, If I could potentially get my data back: would I lose my recent purchases or just their save data and have to re-download them? Maybe I could even keep the games AND their data but I really have no idea, so some feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

:\ Aw man, that's no good. I just got AC:NL, digital copy too. Hm. I hope it doesn't do that to me too, whenever I do get a new 3DS.
