Animal Crossing Wii U Predictions

If there ever comes a new Animal Crossing for the Wii U, what do you think or hope would be in the game (features, items, public works, animals, plants, ect.) or what events might take place (holidays, or any circumstance in general)?

Here are some things that I hope will be in the next animal crossing:

Local Multiplayer -- Hear me out for a second: I know there has already been local multiplayer in previous Animal Crossings, but NEVER has there been local multiplayer for an Animal Crossing on the home console. If one of your siblings or friends wanted to play with you, then they could simply jump right in; making the game go splitscreen.

Connected Towns -- The more save games you have on your copy of Animal Crossing Wii U, the more towns you would be able to travel to locally! Each town - separated by a gate that's easy to pass through by a push of a button. You have the option to prevent your pesky siblings from "modifying" your town on your behalf.

Airplane Transportation -- Trains, Taxis, Buses, and Boats have been the necessities of transportation in the Animal Crossing series. A new source of transportation is in order (especially now that a couple of them have been used in multiple Animal Crossing games). Airplane Transportation wouldn't be needed to travel to towns that are connected to yours.

Those are great ideas, but I personally am hoping for plantable berry bushes, kinda like fruit trees

YES! I think all of those features should be implemented if there ever is an Animal Crossing on the Wii U platform. Heck, I think it should be implemented in the next ACNL game even if it isn't on the Wii U platform. I think Airplane transportation seems like a perfect thing! I would also like "neighboring towns" to be a feature, NPC neighboring towns. Where you can visit occasionally, and earn gifts/medals/help out/make bonds just from those towns, I know it sounds similar to the online play but what if the player doesn't have Wi-Fi or even friends to play with (it could happen)..

The make bonds feature (I think) sounds the most interesting, you can be an avid visitor, and have mayor meetings, talk bout funds etc, the possibilities are endless with that. Of course, I would say more plants should be added, and probably a few other fruit trees like tomatoes :sneaky:.

I would like more mini-games to be implemented as well, with the Wii U gamepad it'll be LOADS of fun... I don't know, I'm actually thinking a game has been announced, I'm excited for some reason. :hilarious:

Those suggestions sound great as well! NPC Neighboring towns sound the most interesting to me! And more mini-games would be great as well! Some could include furniture; by that I mean actually being able to play a game of billiards on the billiards table or playing table tennis on the table tennis table.

YES! Now that'll be pretty awesome, or playing the piano with the game-pad (just for fun).

I think the NPC Neighboring towns could have so much features implemented, and it really adds more content to the game, more than anything!

Idea: Amiibo for AC Wii U will make the animals smarter and not mess up your plans

I hope they'll have more fruits, as well as vegetables. That would be cool to have like carrots, pumpkins, and things like that in a new game. A local multiplayer would be amazing as well. I would never have to take turns with my siblings again!

More Fruit and veggies would be awesome, also if you could plant turnips instead of just having to buy them And then you could get a lot more Bells!

I always disliked taking turns with my brother back in Animal Crossing: City Folk. It's a good ting he play the series anymore! Now I have New Leaf all to myself (even though I don't play it nearly as much as I used to) :p

Yeah! Let's just hope Nintendo doesn't make Amiibo a requirement with any of the future games that implement it.

Planting turnips would be amazing! Just think of how much money you could make!

You can already make a boatload of bells from turnips already, so all the more planting them! :D

what if they added a ski lodge snowy place where you could go (like how you can go to the island) where you could ice fish, go on tours (snowball target practice?) , and make lots of bells!? that would be cool!

That would be pretty cool, or even a place somewhere adjacent to your town that lets you participate daily in huge activities based on the season. For example: spring, summer, and fall you could play tennis, football, and more against animals; while winter you could play Hockey or Skii (like you said). It seemed cool in my head at least. xD

If they would be an animal crossing for wii u it would be release a long time ago

I don't know if this has already been said, but I wish we could drive cars. Turn the villages into cities. Make the AC world bigger. It might be a lot to manage but I think Nintendo is heading towards a more realistic game. This was shown by their new features added to AC:NL.

New Villagers: Add new villagers and personalities
Sports: Include sports you can play with local people, online people, and you're town's villagers. Maybe a sports man can come and host sport tournaments. I'd like for there to be Bowling, Baseball, Tennis, Racing, Football, Skying, and many more.
Amiibos: Amiibo's give you're villager a clothing set, an item from there series, and a carpet/wallpaper from the series. The Villager amiibo gives you 5 random pieces of furniture and 3 pitfall traps.

First of all, the name of that wii u game should be Animal Crossing Dream Town. In that game, you will be the mayor (like ACNL)

1. Your own island- You find some kind of an island (Like Tortimer Island) and give it the name you want.
2. Make your own shops- The main street will be open for a few more shops for ourselves. We can ask townsfolk if they want to work there (which only lazy townsfolk should reject) and we can tell them which kind of shops we want.
3. Link with ACNL- We should be able to go to towns in the 3ds games. The wii u version should have some fruits that are only available by linking with the 3ds version.
