Or Sega Megadrive whatever floats your goat. Also I know Sega is not Nintendo but this seemed to match the topic the best

So this little buddy is definitely my favorite console cause it was the one I grew up with. Some of my earliest memories are of me playing Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Jungle Strike (is it sad I just like to blow up the White House?), Columns, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage 1 and 2 (SoR2 is one of my favorite games of all time).

I like to think that there were a lot of solid titles out there for the Genesis, considering that Sega would remake games from the NES and stuff and make them for the Genesis with better graphics and game play. Castlevania is an example I've heard of, but never got a chance to play.

Plus I have to say I love the music that the Genesis titles had, like Sonic the Hedgehog's music, Streets of Rage, ourjhgfdsviujr it was just a good sounding system compared to some nintendo games.

So yeah, where's my fellow Sega fans at? It's kinda lonely ;_;

I have a Sega Genesis (I didn't get it when it came out, I got it from an old game store in maybe 2009), more like with Sonic games (almost every platformer I'm sure) and mostly third party titles. Although STH 1-3 and the Knuckles combos I can also play on my DS. They are fun to play for a short while with the only big problem is getting a game over because it's not like the game saves your spot. Sort of like playing and arcade game. The graphics are great but some of the games can get complicated. Oh, and I also have the Wacky Worlds Creativity Studio, which is basically a fail of Mario Paint.

I have this friend that still has this Sega Genesis console and I would say that I was quite amazed that it is still in a good condition and working :woot: Maybe a few scratches and dents but still cool :D I used to go and play it and I still have fun with the games that it has to offer :D

That is awesome!!! I still have mine and from what I can remember it works great (its not connected at the moment but I used it a few years ago), although one of the controllers doesn't work as well as it used to. Those things must be made with diamonds since it managed to with stand both me and my brother (who as a kid was the reincarnation of the Tasmanian devil haha)

I still have my Genesis and it's still in working condition. I like to hook it back up from time to time and enjoy some of the games I loved playing as a kid. The main one being "The Lost Vikings." Absolutely loved that game when I was younger and still do.

I occasionally play Sonic/Sonic 2, but I'm not a huge fan of the Sonic games (never have been). Though I enjoy playing them if I can get a friend to join me.

I don't have one now but I've played so many Genesis games

  • Shining Force was my first strategy RPG
  • Sonic 2/3 & Knuckles gave me countless hours of joy
  • Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - some people hate it, but I loved it as much as the arcade version. Hehe :p
  • Streets of Rage (all three) were incredibly fun
  • I remember watching my cousin play Ecco the Dolphin a lot when he visited
  • The Lion King is, to my mind, still one of the best licensed games and one of the best on the Genesis
  • Comix Zone was so difficult and yet so fun :D
There are more, but these games came to mind immediately because how much time I spent on them.

Yeah, I've got a genesis too. But while the system was decent, mine's a hand-me-down, and my collection is mostly the old sports and board games. The Nintendos were the machines that were "mine" as a kid, and my game base is a lot better.

I never had a think a consul I was more of the Nintendo kid myself. However one of my friends did have one because his dad kept all his old consuls from when he was a kid. It was really fun to go over to his house and play all the old sonic games on it.
