I believe it was a masterpiece, and almost everybody said so. I would personally like a 3rd sequel to the series, even though 3d World and 3d land are nice too.

Anybody agree or I am the only one? :/

I agree with you! Super Mario Galaxy was an amazing game! I think it is one of the best Mario games ever made. If they'd release a new one I'd go and buy it instantly. I love the game's environment and the soundtracks are awesome too. And you're right, world and 3d land are nice too, but I still think galaxy is the best!

Man,I loved this game but never buyed it.
I always lent it from the bibliotary.
Would be nice to have as SMG Sequel/Remake for 3ds

lol man i would love to have a squel to super mario galaxy 1 and 2 this game reminds me so much of my childhood my uncle was like 12 when he first play this game and i always beg to play along side him. as i break his consoles and controllers as a child ( most of the time by accident) he barely let me played.... XD good ol days

Super Mario Galaxy Released November 1, 2007 :D
A 2000s fan, lover, and person!

I actually only played super Mario Galaxy once With a friend, so a sequel to the wii u would have been amazing. I have listened to the soundtracks and seen the gameplay, and it looks and sounds amazing. But Nintendo said that they would take a break from Mario games because they have released so many closely after each other, so smg3 wont be happening soon if it is happening :(

I liked it. It was a unique concept, with special platforming power-ups (mushrooms, Red Star, Yoshi power-ups) along with new powers like spinning and ride able Koopa shells underwater. It not only made water a fun thing in the 3D series, but it made everything platforming fun yet challenging. I would love another one.

The use of gravity in Super Mario Galaxy dictates where Mario can go in the world.By now many of you have already played the game may have noticed that the designers went with smaller planetoids as well as huge open worlds. On some stages (or galaxies as the game calls it) planetoids are littered usually throughout the level and for the most part are used throughout the game as platforms.

YES THIS MEANS I WANT A NEW GALAXY VIDEO I WROTE THIS PARAGRAPH

Super Mario Galaxy was amazing. Seeing how Nintendo had a pretty large amount of cool mechanics for the games, yeah, I'd totally buy a 3rd Super Mario Galaxy.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is one of the best games I have ever played. A 3rd Galaxy would be awesome!

Im hoping for this, the Wii-U is begging for a Super Mario Galaxy 3. 1 and 2 were undoubtedly some of the best Wii games out there, awesome levels, mechanics, enemies, music, though, multiplayer could have used some work. Mixing 3D World's elements into a new Super Mario Galaxy would have people head over heels and I would be no different.

Yeah I agree with you. I enjoyed SMG1 &2 and I hope they make a 3rd one. I didn't really like being timed in SM3DL and I'd rather just my time in levels. Also, Stars>flags c:.

I agree, I definetly agree with you. Super Mario Galaxy one was actually the first mario with 3d scrolling that I enjoyed the most. I am not saying that Super mario sunshine on the nintendo gamecube was bad, but it was not like the galaxy experience. I would love to see a sequel too

I love Super Mario Galaxy. It is so cool how you can run on different planets and the world rotates when you move around!

I think A Mario Galaxy 3 for Wii U would be awesome. Maybe they could add some co-op levels where you be both Mario and someone else.

Yeah, and they should include multiplayer online.

While yes, it would be great, I'm really not sure if Nintendo could afford to take the risk. For example, if you look at the sales charts, SMG1 and 2 sold terribly compared to many 2D Mario titles (NSMB DS is supposedly stupidly high, nearly reaching SMB1 when you compare sales to the time it took to catch on). As a result of the fairly poor selling, I'm really not sure if Nintendo can afford the risk.

A new 3D Mario is a must-have soon, and as Nintendo confirmed that one of their main teams is working on a new one, I could see them doing a Galaxy 3 or something similar; and it would be awesome, seeing the entire galaxy in HD (and the beauty is magnified by the brilliant plumber who manages to do everything except for his freakin' job). I'm sure it would sell fine, the 2D Marios sold very well but then again, 2D Mario recently seems to have been selling a lot more but 3D Mario are usually the ground-breaking critically acclaimed titles we all love more (and barring a sales disaster, which is unlikely, Nintendo will be happy to try their luck with this and shift more console sales).

Super Mario galaxy 1 & 2 is by far the best Mario series that I ever play in years and I would love to see Super Mario galaxy 3 on the Wii u.

Yes, yes we all would love a new SMG game including me and it would be great, as we all know. But the catch, as mentioned above, is that statistically speaking, both games combined are absolutely nothing to how far the 2D platformers like NSMB went.
