Ok, so I want this app on my ipad, but it is pretty expensive, and we all know that the ipad won't last forever. What i am asking is if I make purchases on my ipad, can get the apps for free on another device using the same apple ID?
 
Um... If you upload it to the cloud and then assess the cload through another device, say your new device, than yes you can redownload the app for free... I think. This is more of a problem you should be bringing up with apple (provided their customer service line isn't too long, once waited an hour for someone to pick up at GameStop) rather than some random people here. Also, what app is it, as certain apps may be or not be compatible, blah blah blah, etc, so maybe I could do some research for you! What are you thinking of getting too?
 
If you use the same Apple ID then you can download the app for free again.
Just log on to the new devices then go to the App Store and go to purchases and there should be a section which has ALL things you downloaded with the Apple ID. Or you could simply look up the name of the app and just find that and hit GET xD
