Are any of these Nintendo Switch games worth picking up?

There's a decent sale going on right now and these games are much cheaper than what they used to be. I'm not really excited about picking any of them up, even with the sale, but maybe I might do an impulsive buy in the last minute just to stock up on more games.

The funds are already on my Nintendo eShop balance and it wouldn't run dry with the three cheap games I'm currently looking at. I might be able to get one or two of these or save for something else.

Here's the list of Nintendo Switch games I don't really want but might get:

SWORD ART ONLINE: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition ($15 from $50)
SWORD ART ONLINE: FATAL BULLET Complete Edition ($15 from $60)
God Eater 3 ($15 from $60)

How good are they and would you recommend picking them up? There's a high chance I wouldn't play any of them, but I may at least try them out every once in a while.

Or do you think I should just ignore them all and save the funds toward something else?

Fatal bullet was probably the most interesting SAO game I played, but it was pretty hillariously bad imo.

God eater is a fantastic series though imo, you also don't need to have played the others btw to understand 3. There is the anime if you do want some extra knowledge but from what I heard it wasn't that good and it goes a bit off the canon.

Guess I'm skipping those Sword Art Online games then.

I've already seen the anime. You should know me by now :p

I played God Eater 3 and enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I've heard it compared to Monster Hunter so if you like that as well, God Eater might be worth it.

It's essentially an action RPG with a heavy emphasis on combat, where each mission will have you fight against one or more main bosses (Aragami) using a variety of weapons. There are eight melee weapons, five ranged weapons (guns) and three shields. All three can be used in combat simultaneously as you can freely switch between the three types during combat.

The story was pretty lackluster, to my knowledge, though I haven't quite completed the final chapter yet. It's relatively dark throughout and I can't remember much of a sense of humour. Nonetheless, as I mentioned, it's primarily focused on combat instead of story, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're more interested in the latter.

Your player character is fully customizable in terms of appearance if you're into that. There is no levelling system, so you will need to instead focus on your gear instead as you advance into battles against more dangerous foes.

Overall, it's pretty fun, quite laid back. I'd definitely recommend it if you're into action RPGs with lots of customisation and giant bosses, not so much if you prefer stories. It was a fun experience, even if the lack of a levelling system made it quite difficult at times. Plenty of different weapons and playstyles to try out as you beat dragons like oversized piñatas.

Also, Claire is cute.

I heard that to. Imo, I don't really like the Monster Hunter series (although the new one has my attention, i might play that someday). God Eater 3 does look pretty cool tho, much cooler than Monster Hunter. I also heard of the SAO games, there alright from what I heard of, not the best tho.

If I were you, I might as well save my money for something else, especially if you say you might play them every once in a while. I've done that a few times, bought a game thinking it would be fun, but only playing it for a few hours. Now, if you happened to buy one, I would say God Eater 3. You could end up liking it a whole lot and playing it more than you think you would have.

Personally I actually kinda dislike monster hunter, but really enjoy god eater.

I ended up picking up God Eater 3 and skipping Sword Art Online.

Thanks guys <3
