I know that gym leaders and ellite four members get max ivs and are ev trained but is it the same with the battle tree?
The reason being kartana is a very good first pokemon in super singles, but has too much trouble with gengars, just because i havent speed trained kartana so gengar is always faster. Gengar literally has one more base speed than kartana, 110 over 109, so if gengar isn't maxed iv or ev, kartana would have a much better time. But if they are max in both iv and ev, i might as well invest the rest of kartana's evs in some defenses
