Hello again, guys! Today I'm here to discuss a really popular question, "Are DLC worth the money?". Ok, lets say you are a Super Smash Bros Fanatic like I am. I seriously love this game. So I decided on Christmas I was going to ask for an eShop card. I bought Roy, Ryu, Mewtwo, and my favorite, Cloud. I think they are all worth the money because Roy and Cloud really fit my style, Ryu gives me a control challenge(which I like about him), and Mewtwo is easy to use and by far one of my favorite Pokemon. So, in conclusion, for fanatics like me, I recommend DLCs, but if you really don't care about who wins or who's better just for the fun of it, that's your decision. Tell me what you think in the comments below. Thanks for reading! I hope it helped!

I actually call over all my friends and we play 8 Player Smash on the Wii U, and since everyone has different mains and DLC preferences, I went ahead and bought them all so that nobody's missing their favorite character on the list :D

I personally think the DLCs are worth the money though, even though you may not play as some of them it's fun seeing them around on something like a CPU practice battle and what not. I also think that the DLCs that comes with stages (Ryu, Cloud, and Bayo) are pretty cool as well for the fact that you get both one character and a stage, which makes the purchase feel so much more worth. And the joy in learning how to play a new DLC character is amazing. From learning new combos to overall learning the way the character plays is something I love about getting DLC characters.

The characters: Yes.
The stages: maybe.
The costumes: Not so much...

To me, the post above pretty much sums it up :p DLC characters are definitely worth it, since the characters are really awesome (and possibly OP :p), not to mention there was a lot of work put into it, so the prices are fine imo. Stages are a good addition, although I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you have the extra money for it.

The costumes are meh. Some people may say it's good but maybe it's just me xD

To me, the question is which dlc you are talking about. I know this was just said in the comments above, but the DLC for the characters are totally worth it. At a bare minimum, just buy all the fighters, you don't need anything else. As for the stages, first I would watch some footage of the stage, if you haven't played it on a different version of the game, then if you really like then buy it. If you like it, then maybe. If it's okay, then don't buy it unless you just want to have all the stages, and characters. I would not get the mii characters however because the miis aren't that big of a deal. You can't play with them online except for with friends, and I rarely play with them anyway.

Having new characters in the game gives you a new opportunity to try something different and get us to other play styles. Even with clones like Roy and Lucas, they do have play differently then their original counterparts. For stages, I guess some of them are good for nostalgic fans and the others for their features. As for costumes, well... I feel like an idiot for wasting over 200 PC to get some.

It's really worth it, you may find your new main when using them, and they are all pretty viable. They all have a unique playstyle and are really fun to customize. I recommend it for a fanatic and even non fanatics! It's certainly worth the low amount of money!

All the characters cost about $30 altogether for both versions of the game ._.
I mean unless you can get certain hookups with DLC codes (S/O to Club Nintendo for Mewtwo) the cost won't seem all that hefty for a player lol.

Yeah, I guess that;w true XP When you split it with a sibling, it isn't that bad, and when you get only one version. We end up spending like 100$ on that game...

DLC is definitely worth the money. You can get amazing new characters that have amazing new combos with just a few dollars each. I bought cloud and ryu, and now I am almost as good with them as I am with my main. The stages are pretty good, Cloud's stage is amazing, and Ryu's is pretty OK. Corrin is also a really good buy, and even though I personally suck at using mewtwo, Others don't, so hes probably worth it two. The Mii costumes are pretty OK as well.

Well I'd say the only must get stage is Dreamland 64 since it's tournament legal. The DLC characters are worth the price though I only recommend characters you know you are going to use them. Ryu is hard to use but his stage makes up for it. I'd recommend Roy, Cloud, and Lucas to anyone. Bayonetta can be really good with practice so I recommend her if you like using combos. Mewtwo is average imo so get him or Corrin last.

DLC characters are, obviously, where the highlights of the whole additional content are striking upon. Not just that you're adding another character to your roster and feel that your roster is more closer to the full package, but also because you get to explore their movesets on your own,and most likely have fun while doing said task.As stated above, most of the new characters introduced to Smash 4 via additional content even come with their own stages and musical tracks, and it's a nice deal for what price you're paying to get them. :D
The downloadable stages, personally, are almost as worth because, for the most part, you get the ability to play on a new stage whenever you want with new music tracks, and not depend on online play if you really want to battle out in said stage.Yes,some may not be as quality-like as some others, but their price is relatively reasonable enough, and do serve their purpose as,most likely, the following content you'll want to get after you're able to obtain the fighters you want. :pompus:
For me,Mii costumes aren't as worth it since, well, they're costumes. They don't have the same impact as the characters or stages, and are really just there if you want to disguise a Mii as a Smash Fighter.I think the only one that is probably worth the price is the Inkling one,as that one comes with a trophy of said character.Outside of that,I'll hold on my money for another something I can find on the eShop. :p
