Since the hit app Pokemon Go, everyone is crazy about catching Pokemon. People used to carry around cards, too. This seems very obsolete now. I know they still SELL them, but are Pokemon cards really relevant anymore? If you like them, I have nothing against you, but I've always preferred catching them in a Pokemon game, not through buying cards. This whole card trading thing in general seems kind of dead. You never see anyone battle with them anymore, or even with 3DS versions of the games. Is gaming just that mobile now? It certainly appears to be. At this point, I'm not sure rather to invest in them or not. I enjoy buying a pack or two and seeing what the Pokemon are worth, but more often than not, I see them get cheaper and cheaper.

The TCG is not dead at all. It is still very popular, and if anything, is just going to becone more popular.

The game is really fun to play. The only thing about Pokemon GO is that it's free and you get to roam about. TCG requires money, but is a great game (a LOT better than Pokemon go in my opinion).

There is also a TCG Online, if you are interested in mobile gaming and want to play for free.

Of course it is. It's very alive and kicking. As long as new games come out, there'll be cards. I'm a hardcore collector, mostly of the older ones, but I get the new ones if they look cool. I wish I had a phone that could handle more apps. I'd love to try Pokemon Go.

You spelled yugioh wrong

I am very sure if Nintendo/Game Freak knew that Pokemon Go "killed" TCG, they wouldn't anouncing new PKMN Sun & Moon cards and the 1995 reprints. But I can see your point and how Pokemon Go has influenced some TCG players to play Pokemon Go.And I respect your opinion and I hope you do to mine. And no hate to Pokemon Go, Im sure that 90's kids were happy and create more memories with this game for many years to come.

I would play Pokemon Go if I had a good enough phone to play it on. But I'm sure as long as there is Pokemon, there shall be cards and the tv show.
