Are There Ways To Get Back Online For DS/Wii?

I know there's a Wi-Fi service shutdown for Wii and DS since May 20 (Which is a long time ago) but I always want to go back and play some games that I enjoyed playing in the past.

Is it possible to some how connect to the wifi server or the online service done for good?

Yes, but most of them involves using an Action Replay (DS) or something I won't tell the name, or a modded Wii.

Yes, that is it. It was a long time ago, but the homebrew servers are still up and running. I personally have played a few games of Mario Kart Wii myself by using these servers.

It is just a pitty they shutt it down, I remember playing mario kart wii with my friends from around, we really had fun with it. unfortunately we got to play it later almost when the service was about to be shuttdown.
