You've most likely heard the name of the game if you browse the app store / google play regularly. It's a popular game by Gameloft and it's now available for free in the Nintendo Switch eShop.

Played Asphalt 8 on mobile a bit ago. It wasn't the worst racing game I played, controls considering it was mobile was suprisingly decent, so I wouldn't imagine the controls for a controller would be too bad. It was decent fun until you hit the paywall.

Knowing the microtransactions in the last game though, I'm hesitent to see how those have "improved" in this next game iteration especially since it's free. I might download it though once I get my switch back working though hopefully just to try it out.

So, update cause I've been playing this a bit.

Don't bother. Bloody hell I can't get this game to not crash. The racing itself is pretty good. Good handling, car control, etc. Microtransactions are incredibly heavy-handed though, after the first couple of races it gets to be a struggle to upgrade your car enough to get enough power to be able to do good in the races.

But yeah. I've played this game like 4 times, it's crashed like 6 xD

edit: literally tried closing the game by pressing x on the game in the home menu.... And the game goddamn crashed while doing that
