One thing that a lot of smash players like to do is B Reverse. The purpose of B Reverse is to, first, turn around while using a special attack and second, make the move be more powerful. B Reversing is simple to do, just a little practice will help you B Reverse with ease.

To perform this, press your special button (B) and then move the Control Stick into the opposite direction that your character is facing. That's all there is to it. A lot of Falcon and Ganon players love using this technique because it adds power to their Neutral Bs. B reverse doesn't only restrict itself to Neutral B. Many Mario players like to B Reverse their Up B in order to face the ledge and grab it after an edge guard attempt. Inputting is similar, except that you have to quickly move the Control Stick from the up position to the side position. Other than that there isn't anything else to add about B Reverse.

Any questions or concerns, leave it in the comments!

I find it useful most with Fire Emblem characters. Marth and Lucina both charge forward when their shield breakers are fully charged, Robin's is helpful when tricking a Thoron, and Roy is great for confusing your enemies in the air. I do have one question, I can't pull it off with Little Mac, is it possible for only some characters, or is it just harder..?

It might depend on the move you're using. If you're trying to B Reverse Little Mac's Neutral B then you have to turn it around before he starts charging the lunge I believe.

B reverse is also used for mind games. Like if an opponent is expecting you to use a projectile and they use their reflector, You can B reverse to trick the then simply punish. (This only pertains to Mario.) Also, The momentum used can aid recovery, especially Mewtwo's since his Shadow ball's backward force can aid his recovery.

This is useful and I have used this lots of times in brawl. It is very useful and very flashy. It is a good way to start combos and just try some new stuff. It is really easy to perform all you need to do is press the special button the opposite way your facing. well np already covered that but i think I made it a bit more easier to understand. I would recommend this to a mid/rookie smasher
