Oh god, I'm sitting here on my Wii (haven't got the newest 3DS or Wii U games, sorry, I had to choose between ORAS or this) and I was thinking to myself "Jeez, I can remember standing outside the GAME store waiting for the original smash Bros to come out and look at the game(s) now!" Who else remembers those days?

I think this describes me at the release of every new Pokémon game up until ORAS since I'm starting to download games on my 3DS. I remember waiting in line like "Oh crap I can't believe I'm about to play a whole new generation of Pokémon this is going to be so hyped!". With smash it wasn't really the same because I got it like 2 months after the game released but I remember more with Pokémon

I guess that I would do that sometimes I remember especially when Nintendo announced of the new Super Smash Brothers for 3ds and Wii U I think that everyone just got hyped since the series was one of the best , even for the older games of SSB like SSB Brawl .

this can also go for other series like LoZ , Pokemon , etc. XD

I remember those days too! I remember walking into GameStop and just feeling really excited and not knowing what to look for or where to start! Its sad that game lines are the thing of the past.

I remember when Pokémon Black and White was first released that it was on the news and everyone was dressed as the trainers, some had Pokéballs others had plush Pokémon and I thought it was so cool seeing them outside of stores cheering for the game.

Yup my parents, said Do you want Pokemon or Super Smash bros. for your birthday? as those were the most popular games. I suck at Smash, and Pokemon has a lot more to offer, (I didn't even know how to competitive play yet!) while Smash is the smae thing over and over again, SSB4 didn' seem appealing. I got my 3DS as the same time as I got Pokemon OR.

I kind of became a gamer pretty late so I always got my games a while after the release. That was, until Pokémon X. I did not wait in line but I did have to convince my dad to drive me to another city. No regrets.
