Ballot done and new character coming. But...

So on the last thread I read, I was informed that the new character will be announced near the end of October and have a commercial before the debut. But the characters are not who we were expecting so no Shantae, Wolf, K. Rool or any of that. Taking a look at the link provide, apparently- get this- the new character isn't anyone from the ballot. So basically, no matter which character was popular in the ballot, you won't be seeing them. This is a lot like the stunt Konami pulled. They gave people a survey to see which games people wanted to see more of. And what did they do? They said "Screw what made us known in the first place! PACHINKO MACHINES". It honestly kinda annoys me off.
 
Well that's good because I didn't want Wolf or King K. Rool and I have literally no idea who Shantae is.

Also do you have a source for this because it seems out of the blue.
 
Could it be Ridley? Quite a bit of "buzz" would be generated in the media and it's someone everyone is familiar with...

Remember, this is someone who isn't from the ballot. And surely, being told they can vote for any game-related character, someone would have at least voted for Ridley. So we're not going to see him.

I think this is kind of a preparation for the ballot character, im sure we'll see him/her soon, to be honest im excited it's a nintendo character, for one i've always wanted king k.rool because i think he has potential, and there are many more possibility with nintendo

btw i dont think the article disaproved king k.rool exactly :p

the article only said this character isnt in because of ballot results and said the only characters that it absolutely wont be is shovel knight, shantai or wolf and that it's a popular character so i doubt it's unheard of and makes any nintendo character (besides wolf) fair game lol, but you never know which makes it far more exciting

I have a huge doubt about Triforece Heroes Link. In addition to being a clone, exactly how would he play out? Each ability is linked to one costume. But most of those abilities or either really not that important or happen to be already used by Link/Toon Link. And another Pokémon? Correct me if I'm wrong but the Pokémon franchise has the most representatives or at least equal to or one less character than the Mario representatives. As for new IPs, I don't know any new one, to be honest. My bet is that it may be someone from an existing Nintendo franchise, in the game or not, that has been overlooked (considering it isn't from the ballot). We still have 9 days in October. We'll get our answer soon.
