The next Smash Bros. character reveal is happening soon, and I must say, I am rather looking forward to this Nintendo character.

Do I think this character won the ballot? No, but it is the character that makes a whole lot of sense for a whole lot of reasons.

Anyway, we will hear about everything within the next week or so, so it will not be a secret for long. Apparently.

Now I know what you're thinking, "How can we be sure this person is trustworthy?" This person has predicted stuff like this before, the Nintendo Direct in April? They predicted that.

This Nintendo Direct will start with a brand new game. The last many Directs have been like this. Most recently Majora 3D/Fire Emblem.

And considering he has a VERY high trust rating on Neogaf, I think he's pretty trustworthy, but take this with a grain of salt.
 
Sounds Sweet! With the Ballot closing so recently, it seems like a good time. I know for certain my character is not gonna win the poll since he's not too popular but glad to see people's votes going in!

Honestly, I hope it's a character who's a bit more relevant. I've seen people who asked for Arthur from Ghouls n' Goblins. At least he has relevance, being featured in games like Marvel vs. Capcom: Fate of Two Worlds and Project X Zone. So he would seem like a good choice, especially counting the fact that he's been in fighting games.
 
Here's what we know so far, accoriding to a MyNintendoNews article:

  • This character is popular, but may not be the #1 character on the ballot.
  • This character would make a lot of buzz in social media.
  • This character is a first-party character.
  • This character’s inclusion shouldn’t be a surprise.
  • Although one of the guys promptly deleted the tweet, the character is not Wolf, Shovel Knight, or Shantae.
  • Apparently it’s a Newcomer + New Stage combo according to Stealth.
Update: Additional information has been supplied which suggests that “Not only is the new character not affiliated with the Smash Ballot according to those in the know, but the character is supposed to be revealed “very soon” & will supposedly be released by the end of the month.”
