I try to buy rechargables (last much longer, saves money, but they tend to be more expensive) although you require a charger. It's much better in the long run.

do you buy normal battteries or prefer rechargables?

Rechargeables for things like the camera and remote controls, for kids toys it's always cheap, standard jobs.
