So I figured this out myself, but there are videos about it on YouTube. So if you want to make a crap ton of bells, and I'm talking like, 300,000 bells per trip, then go to the island around 12:00 AM. Rare bugs will spawn on the coconut trees. I recommend you clear out all the plants and stuff in the middle of the island, because there's a limit on the amount of bugs on screen.
Once you've cleared the middle, the rare bugs will spawn more. Borrow a net from the gyroid, and get catchin! The bugs that sell for the most are the golden stag and horned hercules. These sell for 15,000 a piece, and even more if you have the bell boom ordinance in effect!
