I'm looking to edit some Nintendo Switch replay saves I cap.

I'm looking for one of the best video editing programs for Windows 10.

- Free (not really interested in paying the dollar for this).
- Video quality must be retained. If it compresses videos but retain quality, that'd be awesome too.
- No watermarks.
- Not overly complicated to use.

Hit me~

Honestly the only decent video editing software I've seen/used is DaVinci Resolve. It's a proper video editing software, but it's really easy to learn honestly, I picked up the basics and a bit more in a couple hours. It's also free! There is a paid version but that'd only be needed if you where doing serious video editing. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/products/davinciresolve/

I'd be careful with any kind of video editing with your current hardware though. Even with just a couple nintendo switch clips, your laptop might struggle a fair bit with any video editing software.

Personally, I use the Video Editor that comes with the Windows Photos app (fite me) but if that don't work for you, I also use Movie Maker 10 (fite me) and that's about it. If you want a higher quality (since you said replays, I assume it's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) invest in a capture card i guess. I'm not really an expert on video editing tbh

serious video editing
Serious video editing?

Windows Movie Maker? I kinda want something better tbh.

Like if it's your job. Otherwise the free version works perfectly fine, not even any watermarks.

So it's just like a commercial license and the software is the same?

OR, OR, ORRRRRRR, use OpenShot. That's what I actually use. Just messing with ya :sneaky:

Software is pretty much the same. The only things the pro version gives is like, extra tools like 3D tools, VFX stuff and things like that. Tools for cleaning up IRL videos and such as well (motion blur, noise reduction, etc) but you shouldn't need them for switch game clips.

motion blur literally sucks and you should never use it unless it's IRL things

It's like motion smoothing on your TV, you should only use it if you watch sports

But Sky, how do you expect poor Timmy to be able to download this thing (1.3 GB doesn't sound like much but when the file says it takes 8-22 hours you'd think there'd be a better option without some sort of physical software).

Let's just say my only issue with Da Vinci is waiting for it to DL. Other than that it looks really professional.

like... the program? It's a proper program, it's beefy, but if you are waiting ages for just the setup then you have more issues then just the program lol

Nah I got good specs. It may have took 2-3 hours after getting the link for everything to be ready to run the app (most of it was from download time).

Yeah... that's not the programs fault lmao. That on you. It took me only a couple mins to have it fully set up from opening the download link.
