I currently only have my 2ds to use for animal crossing at the moment so I cannot clone and I would prefer not to either. What is the best most effective way to earn bells? I have tried to go to the island at 7:00 when all the sharks are supposed to come out as well as the expensive bugs. However I never usually end up earning more than 100,000 bells. Am I doing it wrong? Going back inside and coming out when the bugs and fish stop spawning doesn't seem to make the re-spawn, any help would be appreciated. :)

there is actualy already a thread about this ;) but the best way is for tortimer island and the turnip selling .

I'm not good with the Stalk Market (turnip selling). It's easier to cooperate with friends, otherwise it relies on luck to hope you get a good pattern, but if you want someone to try it with I'll be happy to help you out best I can.

I think the island can give you up to a bit over 400,000, but it requires a bit more work. You can't just catch anything you see. You'd have to be looking for very specific ones. You could also go multiple times if Retail is still open (and as long as you're not playing in AM hours it should be). Sell your load, then go back. Repeat. It's best to time travel before it gets dark though and do it during the day because it'd take even more time.

I usually use an interest cheat, but that's technically cheating so I'm not recommending you do so.

Just my two cents...

Thanks for all the info, very helpful. It would've been great if you could help me with the stalk market but I can't connect my 2ds to the internet i'm on as it's pre-paid wifi and it runs down so fast with consoles etc.:cry:

However, I'll follow your island method, thank you very much! :D:D:D

No problem. I am glad I could help.

The two fastest ways to earn money are playing along with the stalk market (turnips), and visiting the island after 7:00 P.M. Visiting the island though, works best for me. If you go at night, there are expensive bugs, as well as sharks. I can usually get around 100000 Bells on average visiting the island. Here's a little tool to help you with the island that I found on Google Images (It is if you have Bell Boom Ordinance in your town.)!

Bug Harvesting at the Tortimer Island is the best way to earn bells (in my opinion). But to make the most out of it, what I do is sell it to campers rather than the retail shop. Campers would usually ask you to play a game called "What Do I Want to Eat?" and if you win, you'll get more bells for that item. (although it's a little time consuming)

First, they would tell you what the color of the fruit they want to eat; it's either reddish or not red.

If they say reddish, he/she will give four choices: Cherry, Peach, Strawberry, Grape. I suggest you pick Strawberry first. If you got it correct, they'll buy the item/bug right away. If it was not the right fruit, he'll give you another clue. He/she would mention the size/shape of the fruit, if it was bite-size choose cherry; if it is round choose peach.

If the first clue is not red, the camper will give you the following choices: Apple, Banana, Orange, Pear. Pick Orange first. If it was the correct answer, they'll buy the item/bug right away. If it was not the right fruit, he'll give you another clue. He /she would mention the shape of the fruit. If it was long pick banana; if it was round pick Pear.

I usually sell a golden stag at around 50,000 bells each from this game.

@acrvaliente I actually tried this method a little while ago. I got around 800,000 without even filling the whole box.

But you forgot to mention this only works with villagers with the Lazy personality.

SIMPLE BUT EFFECTIVE WAY TO GET LOTSA BELLS

Step 1: Go into brother's room.
Step 2: Steal brother's 3DS.
Step 3: Take all of brother's money and valuable items and put them in your town.
Step 4: Put the 3DS back.
Step 5: Get your free stuff in your town!!

(this is a joke btw :D)

Everyone knows all you need to do is get bugs and fish from the island. Another thing I like to do is collect and save up gems (I'm very lucky and get gem rocks a lot).

One gem rock will appear every day. They appear at 6:00 AM (I think?) and there's one every day. So unfortunately, they don't really have a rarity.

Sneaking for those rare beetles on the Island is the best way for me. I always got a bag full of them in 1 hour or so.
The secret (?) is to chase away all the other bugs you see on the island (as there is a limited number of bugs that will appeared).
Do the same thing for the sharks, if you see fish you don't want, just chase them away (by running up to them).

Also, flea market is also a good way. You can raise the item price by 2-4 times the price you sell to that pink alpaca.

Its best to go to the Island at night! Its twice as fun if you have a friend to pass the time with as well! :D

What I do most of the time is hunting rare bugs on the island as well. My friends don't own the game so I can't go to they're town and sell Rare fruit. Also, I accidentally ate the 1 Rare cherry. I don't do Stalk market, so that's like the only way for me. Gem Rocks and Money Rocks help a lot as well
