Best power-up?

mine would be the Tanooki suit, I love flying and reaching high places, most of them bring secret. xD

you can skip the level pretty much in some cases. xD

1-Up Mushroom is best. You never have to restart the game or level
 
I'd say the Mega Mushroom because you're invincible :cool: I know Starman gives you the same ability, but you can still die if you fall off in the level.
 
My favorite would be the Blue Shell, because my objective in Mario Kart is usually to destroy your hopes and dreams. :D

I'd say the Tanooki power up brought me the most ease. It's nice to just fly right over everything haha.
 
I love using the thunderbolt and just cruising right past everyone.
 
The thunderbolt is so fun to use! I love running over people and just getting further ahead. Personally, the thunderbolt is the real dream crusher. :p
 
My favorite is the golden mushroom since it's pretty much a super mushroom. If you use it correctly, you can get very far ahead of your opponents. The trick is not to just spam it once you get it, but to use it when you encounter a series of turns where shortcuts can be made.
 
I really like the Ice Flower and Red Star in Super Mario Galaxy.

The tanooki suit because you can hit opponents with it and it saved me a bunch of times and you can float like peach but peach is broken as she is >.<

I gotta go for the tanooki suit. Racoon Mario was incredible, but Tanooki Mario was even better. The Tanooki Suit gave Mario all the abilities of the Raccoon Leaf -a killer tail, a floating descent, the ability to fly and added a transformation into Statue Mario As a statue, Mario was invulnerable, and a well-placed transformation could destroy just about anything even the Rocket Engine flames on the airships. The only negative about the Tanooki Suit was losing it and having to find it again it was hard to lose such a powerful, uncommon item due to carelessness, and it was even harder to find it again, unless you got lucky at Toad's House.

I have a few favorites, one of my tops being the white tanooki suit, ive had a blast using it all the time personally (i know it might sound funny or kinda stupid, idc if you laugh, i take no offense). But i also have a few others ive found very useful. The tanooki suit is great in many cases, but i by far prefer the statue tanooki! That item helped me greatly in my super mario 3d land 100% run, there are so many things that would've been insanely difficult without it (especially s8-crown, lol. Im sure we can all agree that was a complete mess). If youre clever enough its considerably easier to beat stages with it than it would be with some other things.

I also love the cat bell and the statue cat bell, its pretty fun climbing all over the place to see whats around or where things are hiding. :) the cat statue bell of course works similarly to the normal cat bell, but instead allows you to statue similarly the way you do with the statue tanooki in 3d land, only this one gives you some coins when you statue prior to hitting the ground. Yeah, i know the coin part is probably kinda useless, lol. I admit that, but i personally think its pretty cool.

Those are all my favorites. :)

I'll never forget the Mega Mushroom from New Super Mario Bros. DS! That game was my childhood jam!
It was cool to turn giant and crush all of your enemies and cause earthquakes with a ground pound!
Giant Luigi was cooler since he's technically taller and bigger :p

Yeah i like that one much too! I think that was mario kart wii though, not ds but its fine im sure most persons reading here know what youre talking about (if that made sense). If you thought big luigi was cool then try big bowser with that item! ;D

One personal joke I kinda randomly came up with is staying behind an get a invincible star (the thing that makes you rainbow colors) an wait for the CPUs to overpass or come close an then just go reverse way an hit as many of them as you can an each time you hit it say "scuse me! Sorry!" An just repeat either words for every hit an sit there and lol at them. I know it might sound kinda stupid or something an that its a waste a time since you cant win here, but i can never do this an not laugh. I laughed so much once doing this i had to put my controller down so i could breathe an relax. Too funny kek.

The Mega Mushroom was in Mario Kart Wii, but it originated in New Super Mario Bros. DS. :p

The blue shell from NSMB DS. I love just speeding throught the levels with that Item. You don't have to worry about most enemies, you are really fast and speedrunning with that Item is really fun. Definitely the best item for me.

My favorite power up is probably the hammer bros. suit from Super Mario Bros. 3. It was really cool to be able to find this super-rare power up that let you rain down hammers from above. It had a great number of uses, and was stifled (in a manner of speaking) only by its rarity.
