Best way to level up and find shiny in Soul Silver

Just wondering if anyone still plays soul silver. If so what's the best way you found to earn high levels quickly and best way to find shiny.

Best way to get a shiny in Soul Silver is probably the Masuda Method. As for leveling up quickly, I find that in general with pokemon games, rebattling the Elite Four a lot while having the EXP Share on a pokemon you want to level up helps

I did that, I lost a lot of money while battling the Elite Four but once I switched in my Amulet Coin Pokemon and I won, I get a lot so yeah, that's a great way to go.

I mostly level up my pokémon postgame by calling gym leaders an engaging in battle. I find it more suitable than the elite four because you can go to the pokémon center also it's fun to revive battle with those leaders.

Yeah, you can call the gym leaders, but they're only available at limited times each week. Elite Four is available all the time.

I never even knew you could have re-challenged them, and yeah I rather go with the Elite Four, its faster and I think you gain more money also (especially with the Amulet Coin)

Only in some games you're able to re-challenge them. It wasn't a feature in Gen V, but Hoenn and Johto had the option

Yeah, I was talking bout Johto, its a really slow process to level up your Pokemon so I don't recommend it really.

Yeah, Elite Four offers the opportunity to go through 5 good battles at once basically. Gym battle rematches aren't as efficient

Agreed, the VS Seeker is also a good way to go but that item is only available in Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen, Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.

Yeah....any updates on that kind of stuff with X and Y. Did they include a rematch feature for this game with gym leaders and all?

It's only in Johto and Emerald that you can call gym leaders. It's not in all the pokemon games/generations lol
