BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle North American Beta Confirmed

The people that know me well here know for a fact that the BlazBlue series is MY FAVORIE game series to date. And with the spinoff, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle (which includes characters from BlazBlue, Under Night In Birth Exe Late, Persona 4 Arena and RWBY), I can’t wait for the game to come out!

News of a beta happening in Japan was out for a week now and now we have a beta confirmed for North America as well.

A tweet that ArcSys put out two days ago here mentions that the digital Ps4 version of the game can be preorderd on 4/30 and that news for the Beta will come out next week. In Japan, the beta is for Ps4 and Switch and there would be no reason to not do the same in North America. I CAN’T WAIT to try the game out for myself

So what is is that makes you like blazblue? I havent really got to try one (exept some spinoffs) so what are the mechanics or things that make it different from other fighters?

I can’t really speak to Cross Tag battle for that question as the mechanics in that game are slightly different, but I can answer that in terms of the regular BlazBlue games.

The reason I like it because it has a pretty fast pace. If you’re familiar with Street Fighter, then you know that it’s pace is pretty slow but the BlazBlue games have fast movement and condone a lot of quick decision making. Although fighting games that are fast paced do sound challenging at first but getting used to it can make matches feel really hectic (in a good way) and fast. Flashy combos, fast mixups and a lot of offensive and defensive mechanics just to name a few make this game series my favorite since 2008.
