Can I use the old demon compendium in New Game+ in SMT4?

It's been a while since I've played Shin Megami Tensei 4 so I'm wondering if I can use the demon compendium from my previous cycle in the new cycle in New Game+.

I'm trying to get as much demons registered in it and I know I lose the demons when starting a new cycle with the aim of getting a different route, but I'm uncertain if I have to start from scratch with the demon compendium again.
