I am wondering if you can download the physical game to your SD card digitally?

So you mean an actual 3DS game on your SD card? It is possible, using the Nintendo eShop you can download 3DS titles onto your SD Card as long as you have credit and space. I'd reccomend using at least 16 or 32 GB SD cards if you wanna download 3DS titles though. If your asking about a phyical copy you bought being put onto the SD Card, then no, I have Kid Icarus: Uprising as physical and my eShop doesn't say I have it purchased through digital, so I can't download it unless I buy digital. Hope one of these two answered your question :3

Yes, if said game is available in the eShop (but, you'll have to pay the game again, and the eShop isn't known for being the cheapest place to buy games). However, if you mean, downloading the game's data off the cartridge to your SD, then no. The 3DS doesn't allow it in its current state (and will never allow it anyway!).

There is a way to have your save data from your physical copy on to the digital copy but you would have to get these three things first internet which you should have second the digital copy of the game third have the save data transfer tool which you can get form the eshop then just select the save data transfer tool with both physical and digital copy then your save data from the physical copy will go to the digital copy

Not legally, anyway.

I'd go more in-deph, but in short, piracy.

Yes. You can download games using the Nintendo eShop. Here are the steps:
  1. Get a eShop Card (Needs to be a $35 or more)
  2. Go to the eShop
  3. Use it
  4. Get a game
  5. Spend your $monies!!!!!$
  6. The game will download
  7. When it's downloaded, a present will appear
  8. OPEN!!!
  9. PLAY!!!
I really hope these helped you.

That's not what he was asking...

FrozenDragon is right. That wouldn't be legal. If I had a physical game and put a digital copy on my SD card, then sold the game, I'd still have the game. That could be easily exploited, some dude could buy the game, share it with his friends and theyd all have the game, but the company would only get paid for one copy.

Oh... ... ... Don't know what to say o_O

You could, with a <=9.2 system... it's legal, but won't be when you give your friends all the copies.

Not really legal, even if you have your own copy of the game, it's on the gray area at best.

Mainly, you would still be modifying your console, that is quite illegal.

(Not like i care though, these things don't matter here in mah country :3)
