So I have the game updated to the latest version. I can access the DLC shop as I had downloaded Corrin a few days ago. But when I felt like going online, I kept getting a communication error. I thought it was because I was far away from the router but even up close, I get errors. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know a solution?

What's the error code and did you see a message with the error?

You'll also have to update your firmware to the latest version (choose system update and let it do its thing).

I am simply told that there's a communication error. No code. And my firmware is up to date. Otherwise, I wouldn't even be able to access eShop and, as mentioned earlier, get Corrin.

Did you test to see if you could play other 3DS games over Wi-Fi?

Be sure you don't have proxy settings, that messed it up for me before.

I can still check in on Shuffle and enter the Nintendo Badge Arcade.

I don't mess with the proxy settings. I leave it as is.

Be sure everything is set to auto obtain or delete and redo the settings.

Yep. Might be the Auto-obtain thing. Homebrew user.

@paceygym Nope. Not that. I did just delete the McDonald's connection I used from when I went to go get the event Hoopa.

If you haven't deleted and redid them all thrn I have no idea, I'm not a homebrew user >.>

Sorry :(

Didn't work anyway.

Welp. I'm never going to be able to try Cloud and Corrin online ever. Honestly, I feel like I should've sold that code or trade it for Bayonetta.

I'm not really sure they're online multiplayer interaction games like Smash or Pokemon >.< It might be a firewall issue.

Try another Wi-Fi network to see if you can play online.

The only other Wi-Fi around my area is other people's internet which means I need the password. The only unlocked Wi-Fi is that damn optimumwifi. I only have the Wi-Fi that's in my house.

And I was able to Wonder Trade in X.

There's too little info here. Are you just trying to access it through the regular home menu, or are you trying to boot Smash through something like HANS or CFW emuNAND? (Since you mentioned homebrew)

Regular. I can't access the Homebrew menu anymore because I have to update Ironfall to open it and I don't have OoT or CN.

Perhaps the servers are undergoing maintenance then?

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem. I never saw a thread about it.

I have that same problem, a solution for me would be to move into the city I believe I can't connect easily to others is 'cuz we're in the country. (Pretty much nowhere...)
