Spoiler alert!
I did warn you!

So there are several characters that can be unlocked in SBB4 3DS

However these characters will be different from the Wii U version.

Gannondorf and Ness will be unlocked from the start.

Nothing has been said about someone taking their place though, but Mewtwo is confirmed!

He can be obtained if you have both versions and connect them

Really... That's <censored>! They should just give Mewtwo for free instead of buying a Wii U.

I don't really care about Mewtwo, but doing that isn't really nice, because it means that if my sister (only WiiU owner in my family) wants to unlock the full roster, she'll need my console, and vice-versa ?
Like, really ? WiiU owners are already rare in France, so, I guess I'll have to hope that my sister get SSB for WiiU if we both want a complete character roster...

The Wii-U is suffering in sales, Sakurai is a troll. This will clearly shoot Wii-U sales through the roofs.

This is strange to me. What's the need to start the wii u version with more unlocked characters for? Both versions have the exact same roster. Also i know people love "A New Challenger Approaches" and seeing that less is surely worst.

Maybe it's because it's a home console, and you'd be playing with family and friends more faster and right away, that you wont have to waste time trying to unlock them all, so you can play with your friends with a bigger roster.

Though sad, it is no doubt a calculated, tactical move to boost Wii U sales. Added incentive, if you will.

Thankfully in my case I would never miss out on a single Smash Bros. game, having gotten the 3DS version on launch day, and going to digitally download the Wii U version when it strikes midnight turning to November 21st. ^^'
