So I looked at my 3DS and realized it wasn't charging (it wasn't full). So I wiggled it around, and still couldn't get it to work. Can anyone help me out here? Do I just need a new charger, or repairs done on my 3DS? Or is there a trick?

Try plugging it into a different socket if you haven't already I guess. It's tough to tell if it's broken or not, but if it doesn't work then I don't think you have a choice.

sometimes the charger just needs to discharge. leave it unplugged for a while and try later. not sure how long though sorry.

Have you try slapping the charger? (not too hard though), something might be loose inside. Also try cleaning the head (I don't know what it's call, the part you plug to your 3ds) and try again. This might work.
I used to have a problem with my Original ds charger but it was 5 years old, so I bought a new one.

I had the original one but I used a converter bcz it was not of my region and it would get hot.I just bought a fake charger on ebay for 5$(400Rs) and it works great.Suggest you could buy a new charger or wait n see.......

Your 3DS may need repairing, because it may be an internal issue (the charge port being broken/not working). If all of the above fail, you can probably get someone to fix it (like a local gaming console repair shop, it may be very costly though).

I had to buy a new charger and hen when I bought it couple weeks later something was wrong with it.I took a screw driver and opened up the charger and I saw the wire the thing that connected it to the metal thingy was loose so I just connected it with a piece of scotch tape.Is your charger rusty,if so clean it with some vinegar that worked a time for me also and try putting the wire in all different ways to see if the red charging light will come on.Those are all the experiences that I can offer.

Maybe you should try different options then if it all fails its easy to buy a new one somewhere . I used to have that problem but i tried like bending the charger port thing a little bent then after awhile it started to work just fine try the other options too

Nice going. But still I think he should check everything....and then buy a new battery. It would be a waste of money if it was found that the charger was faulty.
