Circle Pad grip came off

After over four years, my 3DS finally decided to not be in pristine condition anymore. The Circle Pad's rubber grip came off in pieces. I blame Smash and Resident Evil :panda:

Anyway, the Circle Pad itself is still there underneath and it's still functioning perfectly so far; it doesn't make much of a difference so I'm not trying to fix it. Did this happen to anyone else?
 
From one owner of a damaged 3DS to another... I'm so sorry this happened to you. :(

Though I didn't have this issue with my circle pad, a friend of mine did. It remained functional for a while... but after about another two months of abuse, it finally stopped functioning. You seem like you take far better care of your system than he did (he dropped it so many times and scratched it in so many places that it looked about three years old after only two months), so I'm sure yours won't suffer the same fate. As long as it's still working, I don't think you have anything to be worried about. :)

I think that my Circle Pad's rubber pad fell off from like last year or something :p It works perfectly fine to this date . I think that may have been fishing so much in Ocarina of Time that caused such thing :panda: Just to get that stupid Piece of Heart / Golden Scales

Oh and I actually have another 3ds that my friend gave me that didn't even come with the rubber pad on the circle pad xD and it works fine still :p I'm never too rough with my 3ds :p
