It’s an older style of anime drawing.
As the years went on, faces got longer to compensate for large eyes, but in this case the faces were tiny. So everything gets scrunched together.

I actually didn't know that. I'm not a huge anime aficionado, so this is the first time I have heard this before. Thanks dude!

1990s nand early 2000 art style has wuite some diffrences compared to 2010-2020s anime.
the tech used for make anime and such has changed a lot.
the color lighter in older anime but the color is more deep in more recent anime.
also is factor of animator art style being in their older style as many artist art style evolve and change over time.

Those eyes are what gets me every time. When I look back on it I see as it could be a historical marker compared to modern more realistic styles. It doesn't look bad by all means. It reminds me of the art style on the Magi Nation character cards and that was more with exaggerated body parts too so it does look out of place but it's cute.

What do you want? Overly suggestive cartoon girls who barely wear any clothing instead, like most modern anime? Is that what you want?

Not every anime is High School DxD or whatever the Hell else they're bringing out nowadays. Anime is 90% degeneracy. These styles you've posted go back to a simpler time, back before they used the aforementioned suggestive aesthetic to sell scantily clad figurines to men who dwell in their mother's basement.

I pray every day that one day, we will go back to those simpler times. Never gonna happen. As long as we encourage this kind of degeneracy, it will continue, and we must all work to advert it. Expose the filth for what it really is.
