PS CoD - What's your rank

I bought the new Call of Duty Ghosts several weeks ago and I am very impressed with it. The plot is quite interesting. I really like playing online ( Multiplayer/Squads ) because it is very user-friendly and easy-to-use. Anyways. My current rank is Army General ( 4-stars ). I know that our rank doesn't really play an important role, but let's just discuss about it.
So, what's your current rank? Also, I have a question. I have noticed many times players who have a different rank, a bit weird. I don't even understand what exactly it is.

My level is 60. I don't really like Prestige, as you just get a new emblem for resetting your entire array of unlocked weapons.
The rank determines which items you can unlock and when.

I'm a prestige master in Black Ops 2. In MW3, I stopped at the purple prestige since I did not get the game on its release and I didn't need the extra classes. In Ghosts, well... (only played it a couple of times with my old MW3 clan)

In Black Ops 2 I'm a prestige master, in Ghosts for Wii U I'm around 4th prestige iirc. As for PS4 Ghosts (yes I own it on 2 systems) I'm second prestige.

I owned bo2 but i sold it and my rank was....um....level 21

my rank is 77 and i finished the game and i use to play it me and my uncle with the same account and i own black ops 1 and 2​

I got the game back in December, but never cared about the online much. It was just a few weeks ago that I really got a little addicted to the online MP, so I'm currently at Level 18 (don't know what rank).
