tl;dr: Incorporate an active lifestyle to continue enjoying the things you love for as long and as comfortably as possible.

(Yep I just poured out my hippie philosophical health goals huh)
Curious to how many people are passionate about exercise, exercise to stay healthy or any other reasons. Routine exercise is a crucial part for maintaining a healthy functioning body. Ever hear the saying a body in motion stays in motion? It's true and what that means is if you have a sedentary lifestyle, your body adapts and makes physiological changes accordingly. In this example, it would mean slowing down your body, all your body systems such as your digestive system would slow and start leading to associative problems like poor digestion, constipation etc.

More and more inactiveness over time, multiplied by all of your body systems being affected will lead to the unnecessary imminent decay of your internal organs, muscle and ultimately your life.

The importance of sharing this is because we are gamers. Gaming is by nature, a sedentary sport where we spend a lot of time sitting in one place. Hours sitting in one place, hours for days, days for weeks, weeks for months. As habitually we play video games this is exactly the type of lifestyle that will prevent us from maxing out our lives and living to our physical potential and limit. I'm not saying you need to care about your health and I'm not saying you need to limit your games but it's a real phenomenon to think about.

I exercise twice a day, 4 days a week, I go out and workout and I do it to maintain and constantly improve my fitness so I can continue enjoy the things I love for as long and as comfortably as possible. Plus I just plain like exercise lmao

How do you view your relationship with your health and your gaming?

Back when I first met you, I didn't exercise at all. I would literally just sit in one spot for the majority of the day with my DSi in hand and do nothing. However, about a year and a half after I met you, I noticed how much you cared about your health. How much you wanted to exercise but physically couldn't; it was very inspirational. If I had been in a situation like that I probably would have given up. That's basically when I started caring about my health.

But, because I don't quite feel like getting in to any of that, I'll just say I exercise every other day. Not as much as I should, but it at least prevents me from getting any more unhealthy. I've never found gaming as a hindrance to my health (since I met you, I'm sure it messed me up quite a bit before that day)

Wow I didn't know I inspired you that way even though looking back I can see the trend huh. Thats thoughtful of you to share thanks. But yeah even being a little bit informed can go a long way I believe, suttle changes like getting up to get your own milk during a gaming a session (huh) can like rev up your metabolism. Our bodies are the culminating result of all our habits big and small. So finding the healthiest balance that works for your own interests is the way to go.
Btw when we did the pushups program for like a month I felt like I finally converted u to mormon huh

We should do that push-up program again :sneaky: I think I'm ready to take on column two!!

I normally spend about 10 hours max a week playing video games, normally 4-8. I do a lot of outside activities like soccer, basketball, and running so that too much digital stuff and games don't affect my body in a bad way. I used to spend like twice the time of what I spend now playing video games on a computer when I was in 4th grade until I later got glasses and realized how bad games were for your eyes and started playing less of them.

I spend a good amount of time doing sports and stuff, mainly tennis and a golf round monthly.
i claim to be good at tennis, but not golf.

in the winter it's mostly pedia and my DS though, trying to break out of that though.

so i'm not to concerned or anything :3

I do tennis once a week, soo gonna be playing on a school team and have gym at least 2 times a week.... you tell me xD
