has your console ever broken down on you? what happened to it? was it fixable? did you get it fixed?

my old PS3 had that light death thing and it couldn't be fixed. =/

I had a Wii which couldn't read disks so I couldn't play any games. =/

My PS2 is gone, I'm pretty sure it's hidden somewhere in my garage but I'd assume it won't work anymore because my garage is just a mess. My DS lite's hinge was broken and the charging port too, so I practically can't use it anymore.

Fortunately I've never had an issue with any of my consoles :D

I've never had mine sent in for repair either. In fact I still have a like new working Original Launch Xbox 360.

Oh boy. I've done had to date six Xbox 360s. All of them end up just not working...don't even necessarily get the RROD. I never really cared to repair any of them either.

I did open up one of the old broken ones and messed around with it but I think it just ended up making it more unfixable than it already was.

I'd probably stop caring to buy any more of them but all of them (except the first two) were bought from friends. The most I paid for any of them was 20 dollars so it really isn't a big deal that they break so much.

I can't say that I've been unfortunate enough to have a console "break down", but I have broken a GBASP in the past... (spider cracked the screen while falling down a flight of stairs)
