Which games reminds you of Zelda? I heard there were some but I never played any,I have seen one but I can't remember it's name: it was on PlayStation and put on Wii U's Virtual Console. I wanted to see if anything was like it or if any game came close,I seriously believe that Minecraft is very slightly like it only because the enemies are somewhat similar imo

for simular games i would say the dark cloud series and okami but for copycats im not too sure since it seems the other adventure games have diffrences

Hmm.... I think Darksiders was a very (dark) copy of Zelda. Felt like it to me besides the combat which plays more like God of War.

There is a game on the App Store that is called Ocean Horn and it is basically a copy cat of The Legend of Zelda. It's a copy cat of Phantom Hourglass, to be precise so I guess controls would be ok. It costs a price so I've never played it but you can relate just by looking at the pictures.

Overall it looks pretty ok-ish for a clone.

Ocean Horn isn't bad, I have it. It's a bit har to control on mobile so I'd recomment getting it on PC, it's available on Steam.

I'd say Ittle Dew maybe? It looks pretty much similar :)

I'm going to look up every game: I'm trying to make tribute game(s) for the Zelda series
but I didn't want it to be unoriginal too.... so I'm researching before I go any further...
Thanks! :D and please post more if find any!

Zelda introduced or - at least - made famous so many aspects of gameplay that sometime is a bit hard to establish if a game is a simple copycat or just used some a said mechanic on its own.
If I had to list some titles, I'd say Willow - and for a certain extent - Crystalis, though it reminds me more of Ys on NES, a bit Quintet's Heaven & Earth trilogy (Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma), Neugier Umi to Kaze no Kodo on SNES, Crusader of Centy and Spiritual Warfare on Genesis, Spud's Adventure (GB) always reminded me a bit of Zelda, then I'd say Alundra on PSX, Okami on PS2, Okamiden on DS, which, in my opinion, is better than DS Zelda games themselves! :D
Also, like it was already said, Darksiders series has a strong resemblence to Zelda.

:hilarious:I have to bookmark this now, It'll take a while to see all these games! I technically have finished the first tribute
game,(unfornately it's MUCH more shorter than I want) but I want to make more and keep it original!
Thanks! :D and if you can think of more please comment!

I dpnt know i dont know many games that copy the zalda formula and i havent played them as i only play nintendo games lol i also play some steam games but i would say that these copycats are not really everywhere as masrio copycats are everywhere lol and they all suck a lot

Apparently some are good: The list here show a bunch of good games, but their kinda shameless...
I remember trying to come up with a game like Zelda years ago, and the mechanics I thought up
felt different enough (to me) where I believe if the game is possible to bring to life... no one
would be able to know I got the idea from Nintendo! Hahahahaha!

Zelda has made many, many gameplay mechanics so it's nigh impossible to call others "copycats". Sure. Some might be downright ripped off, but they are gameplay mechanics we take for granted now that started on Zelda.

Your right, it's hard to make ANY game without what is now considered the standard for the genre.
It might be impossible to think of something new/exciting now... I now, expect a game to have
targeting if it's a action game... The first game I experienced it in, was Ocarina Of Time! :)
(The book I read was reading on game design, DID say the industry made a hole for it
own self...)

You want a copycat so Zelda like that it even mentions just how Zelda-like it is in its own description? Look no farther than OceanHorn, which is practically a 3D over-the-head remake of Wind Waker. If I'm remembering right, they even got a composer who worked on the original Wind Waker score. Much more of a tribute than a game...

Hyper Light Drifter felt like a take on Link to the past. The only difference in that, and other Zelda games is that this one was more top-down shooter focused. What it's about? Well... You'd have to play it to see for yourself, because it doesn't use words to tell the story. (There is a Wikia page which was a collective of interesting theories behind its plot, but they're just theories.)
