Deciding factors for a Pokémon game

Pokémon always releases 2 versions of one game at a time. While the storyline is mostly same in both, the Legendary and other exclusives are the big differences. What are Your deciding factors while choosing which game to buy?

I don't look too much towards the exclusives, since I can get those on the GTS and also on this site. My deciding is mostly towards which legendaries look cuter/cooler, and not the stats. As I mostly buy the physical versions, I also pay attention to the box arts a little bit

I tend to go with wich one has the best looking legendary. But i go with wich name i like the most . I its all ways hard for me to pick do i try to buy both so i dont have to choice .

Usually, I only got the remakes (Yellow, Platinum, etc) but since Nintendo clearly won't make those...

I just go with buying both lol

I voted for the legendaries, the exclusives and "whichever title feels better" (not entirely too sure about what that would mean ). While both legendaries of a Pokemon game are always good, I choose base on stuff like its type. There are sometimes differences in other things in-game (like how Opelucid City in B/W were really different)

I never get two games though, I never saw a logical reason why to get both xP

Except in the case of oras, I usually pick based on which concept I like more, such as sun versus moon, I prefer the moon, I'll go with that.
