Deku butlers son theory

I read something about majoras mask and the deku butlers son theory and how the soul of the butlers son is in the deku mask and how in the beginning of the game u can see a dead sad deku tree that might be the deku butlers son what do u think about if u havent seen it yet i will put a link for the theory and a youtube video someone did.

Iv'e heard of that theory too It always bothered me seeing that twisted Deku Tree thing every time I play Majora's Mask original on my computer . It really does make and gives this sad feeling of it to support that kind of feeling in the game . But it's still a theory though , even though it sounds kind of right ... :/

The theory does make sense. There is a possibility that the deku mask holds the spirit of the deku butlers son. At the beginning, as you said, you see the dead sad tree. That could be the deku butlers son or just some random tree person. I think that while wearing the mask you are the deku butlers son. But hey that's just a theory. A Game Theory!!!

I like this theory. It's both sad and entirely plausible for this to be true. It adds some emotion behind the mask because you know the family of the one who died. I kind of wished that the 3ds version would go along with the theory a little more strongly.

Also when the Deku Butler said that his son was gone, that was when it hit me. Your Deku Mask has the soul of the tree in the beginning, just like the Goron and Zora Masks.
