SwSh Detective Pikachu game coming to Nintendo Switch

Details about it is still a mystery but The Pokemon Company announced just now that a Detective Pikachu game is indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch. I'm not even surprised.

What do you guys think?

First game was a train wreck tbh. Very suprised they are making a sequel, unless they follow the film's footsteps closely.

For some reason I think this will be a late-in-the-generation thing as it seems like a spin-off comes out before or after the main series releases.
Looks like Mystery Dungeon got the show in the recent direct. I'm sure this will be saved up for the next one. I never played the first Detective because I never had any interest but if there was incentive like X Mythical I'd be all for it. Then again as a kid I played Ranger and never knew about Manaphy so see how that made the reason.
