Did you avoid Corrin because of Fire Emblem Fates spoilers?

Corirn is one of the new DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U. The character is the main unit of the Fire Emblem Fates games.

As you're most likely aware, Corrin was added to the roster before Fire Emblem Fates' release.

I'm curious to know how many of you were avoiding purchasing Corrin and/or playing against Corrins before you had a chance to play Fire Emblem Fates.
 
I actually waited to see his/her gameplay enough to see how well he/she handles herself. (Okay-ish in my opinion.)
But her support community is... well this drawing I did should explain it pretty well.

I didn't care, considering I've only played Lucina, Robin, and Ike's games for fire emblem I just wanted corrin
 
I didnt intend on gettung Fates ASAP so I bought her release day :p
 
It was fine with me, since I got the JP version some time later. Plus, aside from the trophies, Corrin's DLC isn't that spoiler-heavy (well, there's just the "dragon" form spoiler, but, you get aware of it in Chapter 5, so, it's barely a spoiler).

It wasn't as spoiler-heavy as people learning about Lucina without having played Awakening.
 
I was SO into getting corrin, corrin looked so cool and strong in the reveal so I didn´t hesitate to buy the dlc and since I´m totally indiferent to spoilers, it all worked out and I don´t regret anything since then.
 
No for two reasons. 1. I wouldn't really care if I played Fire Emblem Fates first or not. I don't see how playing it first would make playing as Corrin better for me. It's like not playing as any particular character until you've gotten to play the game(s) they came from first. 2. You gave me the code for Corrin so why make it go to waste?

I wouldn't say it would deter anyone from buying Corrin, there's barely any spoilers with him added to the roster
 
I actually didn't know who Corrin was at release. I honestly don't really care about that. Like I didn't know who Shulk was when he was released, I haven't even played any of his games but I really like to play as him. So all that matters for me are the movesets and the character, if it fits to my taste, I'll get it.

I actually had the whole plot of Fates (If at that moment) spoiled on it's original japanese release lel, so I didn't mind in the least.

If anything, Lucina is kinda sorta the bigger spoiler, you can't really know her without knowing she was "Marth" all along, her being Chrom's kid and all the time travel mumbo jumbo.
