Did You Catch Mew?

Has anyone here ever caught Mew on any Pokemon game?

There was a long and drawn out trick that would bring him out in Blue and Red versions. My friend and I finally caught Mew on Red version a while back ago, It was awesome. One thing I noticed is that when you catch him, it is impossible for him to be damaged. No matter what they throw at you, Mew will always dodge. It was something I found fascinating, so have any of you ever done it?

I always thought it was impossible to catch mew on the original pokemon games. I tried a whole bunch of different cheats and tricks that were supposed to let you fight mew, however they never worked. How did you end up fighting him?

I myself have never caught one, but I've got one traded from a friend. It's pretty powerful.

I did the Mew glitch once in Red a couple years ago. Pretty interesting thing. Too bad there wasn't a legit way to catch Mew in the games.

I got mew from the distribution on Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver. I found mew on the Google Maps thing too. Were there any other games you can get mew naturally in?

Nope, the only way I ever had one was through a event.

I've never encountered or been in possession of a Mew. It seems like such a mystical Pokemon and it hasn't appeared i any game of the past 4 generations (III, IV, V, VI). I have seen it on the GTS though and I'm thinking of trading for one just to see how the Pokemon functions in battle (might take a good trade though).

Nope is the answer from me.. This pokemon has not been distributed in any event after the LF and FR version I think ..the event of the old sea map is the only source of getting this pokemon ,I mean the only way I think.. Or there is still any event that I missed?.. Tell me if I was wrong.. Totally want this pokemon in the next event in pokemon x and y.. Or OR And AS if can...

Nope I never caught one but I'm eager to get one,by the way I don't think mew is obtainable in any game,how u got one remains a mystery to me but I like mew,everyone likes mew.

I never did it, and I don't think it's possible to do it on Pokemon X neither unless an event is offered :/

I have a Mew on Pokemon X. I cloned it a couple times for some friends. But yeah I have it.

I never caught Mew as I do not own the games in which you could. I did however read on Bulbapedia about the Mew-glitch. You basically interrupt a battle with a trainer with a certain value at seven (no idea which one, I forgot) right before it starts by flying away then walk near a trainer and let that trainer initiate battle. Just finish the battle so the game thinks you have fought the first trainer. Directly after this Mew will be encountered. Tada!
