Difference between Minecraft Dungeons Hero Edition and Minecraft Dungeons?

The hero edition comes with some in game items (purely cosmetic) and it also come with 2 dlc packs (jungle awakens and creeping winter). It's basically the game but with all the dlc included. It costs 10 bucks more than the standard edition. If you have the standard edition, you can upgrade to the hero edition by buying a "hero pass" for 10 bucks.

Note that you cannot play the dlc levels until you finish the game. and since the items are cosmetic only - there is really no reason to purchase the dlc unless you play the main game and want more at the end. I learned this the hard way lol. My son really likes minecraft so I bought him the dlc levels as a gift...but it was kind of pointless for us at that time. Also of note - cross platform play is not yet available. My son has an xbox and I could not play with him directly. I found one site that said they WILL be adding cross-platform in an update but I've not seen that happen so I would not bank on it.
