So if you have not already heard, I've been considering trying out Five Nights at Freedy's but I'm debating which version I should get between mobile (iOS / iPad) and PC.

What are the differences that I should know about and which would you recommend?

Only played a little bit of it as of yet on the PC but what the heck :p I'll still recommend playing it on the PC. The game revolves around being able to switch between cameras and press buttons at the right time, and I think it's much easier to do so with a mouse. Not so much on an iPad. (Haven't used an iPad since December though :panda: ) Because mousing over the bottom tab to close the cameras and see your room is quicker for me.

The game does look playable on an iPad, but the game has jumpscares

  • which are more effective on a computer - bigger screen, having it in front of you on your lap - either way, you can't hold it away from you like with an iPad :panda:
  • there's less of a risk of throwing your computer on a jumpscare, whereas I can already see the iPad flying across the room.

Can confirm. I had FNAF on my phone and I nearly dropped it once. :hilarious:

Anyways, flipping through the cameras feel easier with a touchscreen for me. Although playing on a phone meant the area you click to do so takes up a lot of space and often obscures any animatronic that appear on the lower right of the camera views. I suppose that problem is non-existent in bigger tablets though.
