Digital download code help

so I bought the fates bundle and I'm waiting for it to ship to my house, and I was thinking of something. Does anyone know what happens when you use the download code for the other game? For example if you bought birthright and then used a conquest code would it create a whole new game on your homescreen, or can you only access it as dlc inside the physical copy. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it

They are two different games, so it should create another game on your home screen yes.

But what if you bought the DLC route after that..it wouldn't show up as a 3rd game right? You would have to add it to one of the games? (Br or Cq)

The Gamestop bundle that I bought it actually opens up the ability to play through the second route inside the game. You have to wait till after chapter 6 and then it'll ask which path you want to take and you can put in the download code then.
