I only paid attention to the picture. It looks like I'm sold since Mewtwo has been confirmed and it would be obscure if it took them so long to make one character as DLC to release next Spring alone. As far as series go we got an obscure character, Mewtwo, a DKC character, and a Luigi's Mansion rep. Does that mean there will be DLC stages as well like Luigi's Mansion? Or do you think they were predetermined on different stages like say Chibi Robo (from DS and GCN?) is predetermined on Pictochat 2, Mewtwo in Lumiose City, Dixie Kong in Jungle Japes, and E. Gadd Mushroomy Kingdom? I wouldn't be surprised honestly if there was DLC even if Mewtwo would be free if you got both games however it would make more sense if when you get both games you get all the playable characters or DLC stages or maybe even more challenges for free. Again there might be some greed involved or the DLC might be real cheap so you can afford Amiibo and the 3DS accessory. idk .-.

I really don't like the idea of DLC. In my opinion, the game is worth $40, but not by a large margin. There aren't many modes or levels, and the online play is very shaky. At this point, I think DLC should be more of a present for the fans rather than be a new revenue stream. Also, I hope Mewtwo isn't just for people who bought both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game. That would really be disappointing and would only allow a couple people to get him (I doubt most people have a 3DS, Wii U, and an extra $100 to shell out for SSB 3DS/ SSB Wii U).

There's almost no doubt that there will be dlc. Mewtwo is just the beginning. I'm expecting a whole lot of new characters and possibly even stages to be sold as dlc and this is something I can't stand. SSB didn't really even have that many features to warrant its price, and by adding in dlc in essence it becomes even more expensive for something that should have been part of the launch game.

I think I read somewhere that Sakurai stated that characters can take up to a year to develop. Im honestly not expecting too much dlc, because characters are difficult to make, and new stages would have to be super gimmicky, because with the stage builder we can make our own custom non-gimmick stages.

Same here, I don't really like DLCs, I think that editors/developers should stop that kind of thing, because when we pay for a game, we want the full content without having to pay after for some extra content that could have been in.
But what's more frustrating is that Nintendo is doing it with Smash Bros. now. I simply hope that the DLCs won't be that kind of expensive thing that almost adds nothing to the game.

Yes I agree with Ashkil,Mewtwo dlc is the start of more dlc characters coming into the game.I hope Lucas and ice climbers come in as dlc.

Mewtwo already confirm and I belive what's mewtwo final smash.

I won't be bothered with the DLC factor if it isn't paid.In the opposite side,I won't be happy, since I don't want to see Nintendo going in a way on which they release DLC for all of their games, and none of them are for free.I already got worried with this since Mario Golf World Tour's release, where we got some new courses, alongside new characters, like Toadette,Nabbit,Rosalina and Gold Mario, and all of them were paid and offered since the game's release date. From my thoughts about the picture,I think it's actually fake, because from my point of view, these characters' renders are basically some artworks taken out of the internet, with some outlines around them. Also, another minor thing, but not really effective,is that I don't think Mewtwo's box icon would be light-blue,but purple, unless there isn't any more tones of this color to choose from.

It has already been confirmed we are getting more than mewtwo. we are also getting the tourney mode and the Miiverse stage (which is basically battlefield with miiverse posts in the BG) so I do expect more characters as well, just not this. I think this picture is false, even tough mewtwo is confirmed. we dont need another mario rep. but i do support dixie, and i dont see chibi robo happening. I think the next up are Dixie, Chorus Men, Impa and Ice Climbers.

I was once a brawl hacker and would make characters but it usually took 2 months for the normal attacks and longer for some specials with crazy effects. And that was when I had alot of free time. (I homeschooled)

Well ice climbers were cut due to the software limitations of the 3ds, and Sakrai said he wanted to keep the rosters the same so I'm not sure about Ice Climbers but would love to have them.
Dixie would rep the DK series and was apparently supposed to be in brawl.
Impa would be AWESOME to have and considering Hyrule Warriors came out and has been a hit so far that is defienitly possible.
Well i hear Chorus Men a lot so idk, whynaut (lame Pokemon joke:facepalm:)
And finally the stages you mentioned were planned but will not be available til later so it's more of an update than DLC.
