Yep, Dlc has pretty much been confirmed one way or another.

A hacker found code for the 3ds version to have a shop appear on the home screen when an update comes out.

Mewtwo has been conformed and Sakurai laughed at everyone who was upset with him (God, I love you Sakurai)

So yeah we are getting Dlc. You happy or not? I for one am very happy

It's pretty much confirmed yes, but will they abuse this power on this popular game or series. Were the DLC leaks with Duck Hunt and Dr. Mario leaks true (meaning Lucas, Snake, and others are DLC)? We still have yet to find out. Will Mewtwo be able to be bought rather than getting both games? I hope so because I don't like it when people are left out so hopefully they don't care... ;-; And that would be mean if it weren't possible because it is very similar to trolling for children so they will nag and beg and bite until they can get their grubby little hands on Mewtwo and DLC. I have mixed feelings so hopefully you can tell.

I'm not happy about this. I honestly dislike DLC, and I would not get it unless somebody gifted it to me or something. I wish they just added all the content to the game, and released it.


I think DLC is really all just a money-grab :panda:

I didn't expected the WiiU version to have DLCs. I mean, who would expect a SSB game to actually have DLC ?
Well, I guess it's nice for people who were complaining because their favourite character didn't got into the Smash 4 roster. As long as they don't separate DLC owners and non-DLC owners online, I think it'll be good.
However, I'm kind of expecting Nintendo to start pushing some DLCs on the 3DS too, if this happens.
 
Thrilled at the potential, but forgive my negativity, I expect our DLC options to be disappointing at best, if not laughable.

I want Krystal, but honestly, I doubt they'll make her available. If they did, they'd probably completely and utterly butcher her voice like the other Star Fox characters. @_@
 
If we're overexcited about Mario Kart 8 DLC (which most people are), then we'll be excited about this.
 
well since mewtwo already has a trophy and is now dlc, lets list some characters for smash! I do still expect chorus kids to be in, there is just something up with this trio with the gematsu things and the tower of smash leak too! its gonna happen! secondly, i expect dixie, and impa! dixie because we need a new dk rep and impa because all LoZ characters are unlocked from the start SSB4WiiU. Finally, i think ridley could be possible, now hear me out, he has his own , moveset, KO icon and everything else normal fighters have, i think sakurai is just testing ridley to see if he is compatible for super smash bros. also Inklig and captain toad with toadette alt. thank you for your time :)
 
When I watched the 50 Fact Extravaganza, I was pretty content and quiet, until the last minute or so. Then I absolutely freaked out! MEWTWO IS COMING BACK TO BE IN SBB4!!! I just can't wait until whenever they release the Mewtwo DLC in Spring 2015!

I am content about DLC for the new Smash Bros. However, I was little bummed that one has to get both the 3DS version and the Wii U version to access Mewtwo DLC. Other than that, I am glad Sakurai considered adding Mewtwo back to the franchise.

Do I think it's only Mewtwo in this DLC pack, no. But I think they're making more characters too! Have you ever wonder why no one has seen an Isaac trophy on the Nintendo 3DS version? Also, there may be other characters that weren't trophies in the game like Crystal from Star Fox and Mikey Jones from the old Star Tropics games.

Agreed! I think they really need to add someone from Golden Sun! Also, there were several people removed from Brawl and Melee. Maybe they'll add people like Roy, Snake, Lucas, or Ice Climbers in again. I mean, they already added Dr. Mario back in, so why not?

No not Ice Climbers (as much as I want only one in!) I mean he could of made one of them stay and the other as an alt. The reason I said one was because of balance and the fact that the 3DS can't handle 8 Ice Climbers and I know the Wii U can't handle 16 of them!

Well yeah. I personally don't like Ice Climbers, but I know many people out there do. :p

Is the dlc only for the Wiiu? Cause i'd love to get some dlc for the 3ds too.

@panire The DLC is for both consoles. You have to get both copies of Super Smash Bros. and register them on Club Nintendo to get the Mewtwo DLC. I hope there is more DLC to obtain maybe more characters and stages.

I am hoping for some cool skins included with DLC. Like ProtoMan for MegaMan, or Galacta Knight for Meta Knight. It would be a cool way to add in more "characters' without spending as much time creating a real working character, and I would be totally happy with that. if I THINK that im playing as a character, its kinda just as good as PLAYING as that character in my opinion. But all DLC is welcome!
