It always bugged me that pokemon like skarmory only have one form, It kinda took away the fun of raising one to me and this goes for several others ( except torkoal who I love :p)

I think if every pokemon got an evolution then it would be really annoying to catch them all and evolve them. I'm not saying it wouldn't be cool, it's just something that would make people annoyed. At least I would be.

Most of the pokemon evolve anyways but

Would you want a pokemon like Audino or Tropius to have an evolution? I don't really think people would.

But it would be cool if a pokemon like Skarmory could evolve or they could possibly just give it a mega evolution. :p

Some aren't really designed with evolution in mind simply because they're good on their own (Legendaries for example) but that being said there are Pokemon that could benefit from an evolution, much to the point that Game Freak even picks up on it and puts up an pre-/evolution in a future generation.

That's true lol

Yeah I feel like some non-evolution Pokemon definitely need one, but the giant ones like Tropius, if they were to ever be placed into an evolution line I would only want a pre-evolution for them. (I wouldn't want evolution lines for legendaries though, since there's only one of each legendary, once you evolve them their pre-evolution would disappear forever! That's no fun!)

Oh and for the big ones I was thinking more of a pre evolution but yea ones like tropius are awesome on there own

Yeah I agree

Yes ever pokemon desevers a evolution at least in my opinion . I mean look at humans. Do only certain people change or get better no in a way every human evolves.

Pokemon don't evolve like humans do though. If this were the case then ultimately Pokemon evolution would take thousands, possibly millions of years to get from one stage to the next. Pokemon evolution is actually closer to metamorphosis which is a transformation process from an immature stage to an adult stage. One example is a caterpillar turning into a butterfly during its time spent in a cocoon.

So using human evolution as an analogy to the inaccurately named evolution of Pokemon doesn't line up at all.

There certain Pokémon that are made to not have an evolution, giving you a strong Pokémon without the need to evolve it

This ussualy is to have a Pokémon that is strong in the early game, but not that good in the late game (like the op character that fire emblem always gives you in the beggining), or a Pokémon obtainable late that is as strong as your fully evolved Pokémon, and you don't need to evolve it.

I suppose it would depend on your perception of Pokemon.

Do you consider them analogous to regular wildlife? If so, then yes, most of the deserve it, since evolution would be part of their biological growth.

Do you consider them analogous to the Japanese Kami? That is, nature spirits. If so, then no; since they're not regular animals and thus have no need to follow the common sense bound to regular animals.

In any case, there are different possible interpretations and proof for both cases in the games, some Pokemon fit more the wildlife kind, and some the nature spirit kind. In my opinion, there's no reason it can't be both, some (the wildlife kind) should have proper evolutions and the others (the nature spirit kind) should remain as they are.

I believe that all Pokemon are created equal and are perfect just the way they are. But yah I would like it how the game is now where not every Pokemon has an evolution because for people like me trying to get the shiny charm would be a real pain. So yah it's perfect just the way it is. I'm not saying that it wouldn't be cool if some Pokemon got evolutions but it is good just the way it is now.
