I'm wondering if Marshall is as popular as he currently is because of how he sings. I've seen people post up their videos of him singing all the time, but I rarely see a lot of the other villagers singing. Or is singing exclusive to amiibo?

nah, all villagers can sing, they can also play instruments if you leave them outside!! They can even sing and play along to music if you play it close enough to them via a radio or something!
