AC:NL Do I Need The Update Ver. 1.4?

I just downloaded NL and was wondering if I need the update, since it takes more that 800 blocks(that's how many I have open atm) and I'm penny pinching, trying to use up every block to space I can(VC games, 34 here, 36 there...lol) I looked it up and it's just about Ambiio, which I care nothing about(I thought Ambiio was just for the Wii U.)

It's worth it because you can get a secret storage room for your house that adds up soooo much more space than dressers. I'm just not sure if you need to pay off all of your home loans to get it._. Plus, every day there will be campers at the new camping grounds and you can order special furniture from them. Missed something from Franklin on Thanksgiving? Worry not cause you can save your MEOW coupons and order them when he visits ^^ I suppose you watched the ACNL direct so I'm not gonna explain how to earn them

Oh, well then, it indeed sounds worth it. It'll have to wait 'till after I move my Ash-Greninja off the demo and delete it. That's 3000 blocks right there.

There is a lot of things in the update, even if you don't have any amiibos. There is a new storage room in your home, which gives you tons of new space (you will need it, I assure you). There is also new furniture, which can be bought using MEOW Coupons (a new currency). 2 new items, Wii U Console and New 3ds, let you play 2 new minigames: Desert island Escape and Puzzle Challenge respectively.

So, yes it's worth it.

Hey Dedenne, or whoever is looking at this and knows the answer, does fruit grow year round? I don't remember from WW if it did, or if they changed it for NL. Pears are my native fruit and they were growing a few days ago, but I haven't been able to find any for the past day or two.
