Do people really hate B&W because of Trubbish and Vanillite?

People on Youtube and some of my friends seem to discount Black&White as a main series staple because of a few ugly or simple Pokemon designs.(Stunfisk is adorable)

People seem to forget that this generation was the first to actually have an engaging storyline that has you connect emotionally with the characters (or at least that N dude, because I want to punch him), had better Pokemon battle animations, such as Pokemon bracing for a hit, or closing their eyes when they fall asleep.

So, I ask you, do you hate on Black&White as much as the youtube community does (or at least who I watch)? Or, if you do indeed dislike it, is there a reason?

Honestly I never came across a Pokémon game I hated (except for that trash PETA put out). Black and White was a great game I loved seeing the Pokémon move in battle and falling asleep with their eyes close.

Sure that gen had some unappealing Pokémon like Trubbish and Klink.

But I loved the story line and I'm glad I wasn't the only one who wanted to Falcon Punch N.

But my favorite was this little guy

I guess that they just seemed like ideas were running out for Pokemon But on the bright side, there's a lot of other cool Pokemon of Generation 5. And yes, its story and everything else were awesome

The first Pokemon game I ever played was Black, so I kind of have somewhat of an attachment to those games. While I agree some of the Pokemon had ridiculously stupid designs, there are also some Pokemon from that gen I really like. Especially the legendaries, Reshiram and Zekrom, they are probably my favourite legendary pair out of all the games. Also there were stupid looking Pokemon in every generation if you think about it. And to be honest, I think gen 6 has the worst selection, besides the starters and two legendaries. There are also some things in Black and White that aren't really in a lot of other games... I miss the ability to level grind in the route after Black City by battling Audino. They also made TMs reusable. And I feel the map makes more sense to me than a lot of the older games.

I had black two as my first game. I love the fact that I got Kyurem (nicknamed racist), and I loved the storyline. I was kind of confused, but I ended up loving that N guy. He had all the right motives but did all the wrong things (kind of like the Nazis).

I also love the perfect IV Zorua you get and the battle subway mechanism (Spinda and Arcanine OP). And the whole game was a greal experience. Also stunfisk is wierd. (See stunfisk disambiguation)

Every PKMN game had a fair share of bad designs(not counting green,since this has a excuse and is kinda interesting):
R&B&Y:Ratata,Pidgey,Upside Down Red/White Derp 1&2,Purple goo
S&G&C:Grocery Store Product and coconut tree,octopus
R&S&E:The "fairy" pokemon evolution chain is just ugly and castform looks just wrong...,Meditie and his even uglier evolution,Squid
D&P&P:Flower Pod head turtle & its first evolution,regular boring penguins,hitler magnet,other Evolutions of a already pointless pkmn,regigigas
B&W:Ernie & Bert,Ice Cream,Run over birdy,thingy with unecassary big stone slabs,gears
X&Y:Ice floe,angry panda wearing a coat, key chain,cotton candy,pikahamster

Also,many people propably disagree,but most designs of the bug type are pretty horrendously uninspired in every single game

To the topic. Black and white started out kinda slow. However, the main reason people were complaining was the fact that you couldn't use pokemon from the previous gens until after the elite four. So basically Game freak forcing you to try something new instead of grabbing your Dragonite and wrecking story mode is bad?

I would consider this the best set of games in a way because it was new and I don't know why people are upset about a few bad designs. No one is complaining about the pokemon that is basically a set of car keys. Or a sword with arms. Or squitle. A turtle on its hind legs

IDK people are really shallow when it comes to designs. I enjoyed BW despite me hating half the Pokemon in the region. After all, I had Shell Otter, Fluffy Fluffy Fluff thing, and Levanny. IDK but I just really liked Levanny. For all my playthroughs it's been on my team. Besides, BW had a pretty good story. For a Pokemon game at least. Wasn't extreme enough for my standereds.
