do we own cats and dogs? or are we their slaves!
sure cats, dogs and a wide assortment of other animals are known to lower blood pressure and stress. some even are on police force, fire department, military and even everyday jobs. majority of animals we call pets don't do these things and yet we still love them. are we hard wired to help animals we deem cute and lovable. and what are the pets thinking of their masters.
granted i have a cat now and i take good care of him and to me he my best friend. i had him since he was a kitten something close to 8 long years. i do everything for him i clean him, give him attention, feed him and make sure he has water. he even siting in my lap right now as i type this, but does this mean i am his friend or does he think i am his slave and that i have to do things for him. is he just giving attention so i think there master slave relationship.
my questions to you are: what do you think your animals are thinking about you? would the relationship change if they could speak human? what kind of animals do you have? is your relationship different with each one of your animals?
